Guatemala Housing Alliance, the precursor to MESA, was founded in 2011 with the goal of helping to alleviate some of the worst housing deficiencies so prevalent in the Guatemalan highlands.
While we have shifted our resources to focus increasingly on Education and Women’s Empowerment, we continue our Construction efforts by replacing mud floors with safe and sanitary concrete slabs, and replacing indoor open fires with wood conserving, vented stoves.
